24 Hours of Falcon Ridge
I have been told that if there is one mountain bike race this season that I should definitely not, under any circumstances participate in, it’s this one.
Apparently it is basically a big old family picnic in the woods with a bike ride thrown in for good measure. You can see from last year’s photos that it looks like no fun at all.In anticipation of not participating, I have definitely not secured a “real” mountain bike (as opposed to my “mountain bike”, which I’m told is not “real” and should not be referred to as a mountain bike).
If I was going to go, I would check out the details here. You know, just in case.
If you’ve had no fun after not going to ride this horrible race, we’ll be doing another completely boring, non-fun 12-hour race down here in Grand Forks at the end of October.
That really hurt my head to write.

The grand Forks 12 hour is pretty much the real deal when it comes to 12 hour races. Great people, fun trails and lots of entertainment. Plus it’s basically a suburbs of Winnipeg its so close.
Did I mention that it’s also the official manitoba fat bike arrowhead training event? Last year there were quite a few fatbikes rolling the whole time and this year I have a funny feeling there will be more.
For the record, I never said it wasn’t a “real mountain bike”. Just that I am offended when you refer to it as such. However, since you tolerate my crappy aluminum cross bike on your weekday morning road rides, I will try to refrain from future mockery.
